One Lamp One Lady

"I could say that you are pretty,
but that would make me a liar.
You turn my legs to spaghetti
and set my heart on fire."

Angelina

I can't spell her last name, but if you were Italian, you'd say "coach-a-me-lio" and you'd hold your hand out in front of your chest, moving it around while you said it. You'd also be racketeering the local businesses for "protection" money with your friend who resembles a well-dressed violinist.

Natty Boo Boo

Straight flash assignment. We set up a backdrop at Nathan's. This man fit three squares in his mouth! We used studio lights later and I took shots with his Canon. I need to upgrade my camera. I need to get those shots too.

Jeronimoooooooo

Due to the use of fill, I had to reshoot my lamplight portrait. I had my friend Jeremy be the model and we took a lamp outside to avoid any reflected light. The version I submitted to my instructor had the rim light on his sleeve toned down. The other shot was taken while shooting my storefront assignment. Blah blah blah...

When I cannot sing my heart I can only speak my mind

This is a lamplight portrait project for school. The model is a friend of my girlfriend and I. She was a good sport about being shoved into the corner of a room while she half sat on the base of a lamp with a fireplace mantel digging into her back and having a reflector (a crappy one at that) and a camera all up in her face.

Keelan

This was a for a testimonial shot assignment. Everything in the photo had to help explain the person. If you can't tell, Keelan hammers boards together. He also lends me his floodlight from time to time. What a guy, I tells ya!

McNabbed

My photography class and I went to McNab's Island in Halifax harbour recently. I was paired up with a second year student by the name of Telesa Thompson to take some photos of her. Check out her site @ telesathompsonphoto.ca. I also took other shots of some class mates and whatnot, but I'll post those later. The island is a pretty sweet place. I didn't take enough photos. I need to look into going back again before next year's trip.
