I currently work for an evil, multinational corporation. They're a low cost, low pay, low moral operator. But, heck, aren't they all?
The theme during our last annual meeting was "On the bus or off the bus." This year, it was "Counter Culture." I figure next year's will be "Leading Sales Decisively," except they'll just put the initials up on the projector.
The group exercise will involve sugar cubes on our tongues and listening to Grateful Dead.

Up Close
There's this trick you can do with old slr's. You take your lens off, flip it around and hold it flush over the opening of the camera, making sure to cover any spot light could otherwise get through. Set your aperture as wide as you can and voila! You're now shooting macro. Well... sort of. You need to get your exposure before you flip the lens and you move yourself to get what you want in focus. It's kind of awkward, yes. But it's fun!
Once I find some rolls, I'll add more to this post.

Halifax
In late summer of '06, just before the Richmond Hill tour, I took a trip to Halifax with my old man. I walked around the downtown area and took some photos of various structures and various people. I had a blast. Sadly, I've barely taken as many picture of this place in the two years that I've lived here than I did that day. That will change. Oh yes, that will change.
Richmond Hill
I'm just getting back into the swing of things. So in the meantime, I'm going to post past works until I've got some new material. Given that I have no website yet, this is the only place I have to showcase works. Past or present.
So let's start with a band I photographed back in '06. Their name was Richmond Hill and they were composed of several guys I grew up with. They competed in an online Much Music B.O.B. that resulted in them winning a slot at the West49 Open's concert in Hamilton. I think it was Hamilton. We drank a lot during that trip. The other bands that played were Hostage Life, those prissy shits in Boysnightout and... it doesn't really matter. We didn't watch the other bands. We opted to capitalize on the performers' free beer and commiserate about George Bush and Fox News.
Good times.

Wend Wend & Wend
Here's a song I wrote for a friend's film.

The guitar only has 5 strings in the song. Not because I think it's "indie" or some lame crap like that. It just worked out that way.
